Has anyone managed to get the flyers sorted for Thursday's talk? Do we
need to prepare any flyers or other materials for the FSF?

This is a good point. No, I'm not sure anyone has, but there are several important things that it would be good, in my opinion, to have:

A *large* banner saying "Manchester Free Software Group", with the website address underneath it.

My thought here is that there are going to be _a_fair_few_ people coming to this event, some of whom, I imagine, would be interested in future Manchester Free Software meetings. Therefore, any publicity we can get out of the event, would be awesome. The advantage of a banner directly behind RMS etc is that people who may take photos and then distribute them will get our URL in the photos.

While this *may* not have a big impact, it is a step forward and may, in this case, win us a few people who might not have otherwise turned up. I would suggest that all that is needed here is a large banner consisting of a large number of a4 sheets blu-tacked/sello-taped together.

If anyone has any thoughts about flyers promoting Manchester Free Software, let's hear your ideas!

Paul, would you like anyone to turn up early to help out or is it all in hand?

I will be in Manchester from about 4ish I think, so if anyone is passing through Piccadilly station around that time or something, I'd be happy to meet up.

Finally, and most importantly, is anyone interested in going for a
drink after the talk?

I *may* come for one, though with pwaring's legendary "currybeer"[1][2], on Friday, I'm not sure if I can afford the time/sleep. We'll see.
