Would the way to resolve this be to licence/relicence/dual-licence under the Free Art Licence, which is a commercially friendly, copyleft licence which takes the values of the GPL and applies them to things that aren't software.

The FSF endorses this licence for cultural works.

(though I think perhaps we should be GDFL'ing these talks? - probably not but just a suggestion)
