I'd find a RA-recorder useful too. Perhaps there is one.
There's one little-known one in the Vorbis CVS repository. It's
called 'snatch'. Go to http://www.xiph.org/cvs.html for CVS
login details then checkout the module called 'snatch'. It
shims between RealPlayer and the system audio/video (yes, it'll
capture RealVideo too). It also has a front-end for timed
recordings of streams, good for grabbing stuff off webcasts and
radio programmes.
I haven't tried it for a while, and it's probably tied to a certain
version of RealPlayer. Nobody seems to have done anything with it
for a while, which is a pity. The Helixcommunity website (developing
the open-source client) should be able to knock off a recorder
rather easily, but I suspect that Real (supporting the project)
don't encourage them to do so...
