[Fsfe-uk] Trying to confirm if Brum expo really is dead.

Currently, I have been told three times that everyone at Sky Events is in a meeting, and could I phone back in an hour, so, I may have something at 4:15, if not, maybe 5:15, else tomorrow. I'd just like to speak to a real person before writing this event off, or at least something more obvious than someone (probably french, possibly misunderstanding the intricacies of the english language) typing in cancelled in very small text.

Having seen the post on affs regarding it (the expo) I registered this morning and got a confirmation email back - this is a contrary indicator in my mind. I have tried to contact both of the numbers on the email - one is the same contact no (europe) as on linuxexpobirmingham, which gives unknown number!, the other connected me to a canadian company who seem to have no knowledge of themselves doing anything in the UK/Europe. So, I will continue to contact the one that I got from linux-expo.com and try and catch someone between meetings.

Well, let's see!

It seems I should read debian-uk earlier in the morning. Richard, have you
heard anything about this yet? This is the first I've heard about it. I
would have expected them to follow-up on my company stand space enquiry
before ditching it, but it's their choice.

Well, this is a kick in the teeth. Where else can we meet before the
Olympia one? I guess we should silently drop any mention of this from the
press release.
