Same in Italy. However, as far as I know, the author's intentions tend
to be respected rather then denied. Therefore, stating that you
"disclaim all rights and the work is in the public domain" should
count as equivalent to "disclaim all rights". Where "all" refer to
author's rights, those that are reserve to the author but
can also be transferred or disclaimed.

Sure there is. You must die and wait 70 years more.

Unfortunately you can't be sure they won't let you wait for a lot
more, potentially forever given the current trend :)
