Dear Vincent,
You made good point: maybe dealing with various Linux distributions samely with
other systems like FreeBSD (although there is Debian/kFreeBSD) would be slightly
confusing for elder experts. 2 level tree would be better.
In addition, I ask you for the recommended list of the prebuilt package systems
to be checked for the availability. Especially, for Windows, it is difficult to
decide whether "supported" or not by the availability in cygwin. Some people may
complain "win32 is deprecated API, even if a package is available for win32,
we don't want to regard it as available".
My brief check on librsvg is follows.
* Linux
-- Ubuntu
-- Debian
-- Fedora
-- Arch Linux
-- CentOS
-- Slackware
* FreeBSD
-- found in ports
* NetBSD
-- found in pkgsrc
* OpenBSD
-- found in ports
* OpenIndiana
-- found in hipster
* macOS
-- found in homebrew
* Windows
-- found in cygwin

Very nice! However, please convert the stuff in the first section to
a table with comments; this will increase readability, I think.
Thank you for pointing that out. I should have thought about readability! :(
I don't want to spam everyone with another attachment, so sharing external
links of the revised version.

What about cross platform support ? (OpenIndiana for Solaris, Mac, Windows) ?
