URL: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=8405>
Project: FreeIPMI
Submitted by: Joseph Ruscio

Category: bmc-config
Severity: 5 - Average
Item Group: Improper Behaviour
Resolution: None
Assigned to: None
Status: Open
Summary: bmc-config doesn't output error when invalid keyname is used
Original Submission: When an invalid key name is entered with the -k option,
bmc-config executes without producing an error message, giving the impression
that the request was successful. If someone had a 1 character typo in the key
name, they would not realize it and assume that the key they had intended to
enter was successfully updated.
address@hidden:~/freeipmi_ft$ sudo bmc-config -i -k "completejunk=7"
