Dear Andy,

"The following is my own opinion and I have not spoken with the development members of FBF with regard to this matter.

It is true that I did not notice your acknowledgement on you main page and I am sorry for that.

I think you need to put some kind of acknowledgement on your fonts download page. You definitely need to draw attention to the fonts license agreement before a user can download a raw TTF.
IMHO Mentioning the creators of the fonts by their names would be even better.

I repeat my question. What is the licensing policy with these fonts?

You are NOT ALLOWED to distribute the fonts on you site unless you either:

1. include the font's license agreement with the fonts.
or 2. Alternatively, you may draw a person's attention to the license's existence before they are allowed to access the fonts (e.g. a link to the agreement).

(Please note that I am not an expert in licensing policies) I do not know the position as to legality of including the fonts as part of your package's download."

----I am explaining what happens here. Andy, I am also a developer, and I believe that developers deserves the credit for their works, especially when they are spending their valuable time for people developing free products. From the very beginning I am distributing font from FBF and that was done directly from the download page. With the new version of Avro Keyboard, I released the new site of OmicronLab. You only found out one problem (the license agreement), but there may be more like broken links, old contents on some pages etc. Thanks for drawing my attention on this issue, I am going to update the pages :)

"Are you rich enough to be able to pay back Microsoft if the decided to charge you?"

---God help me! Does Microsoft charge people for helping others? I am just a poor Bangladeshi....

"I do not know if there are any restrictions with regard to the distributing the Microsoft font. It is the first time I have seen it."

--- As far as I know, Microsoft is going to release this font with the Bangla language pack for free. But there are some strange policies of Microsoft. all you know that Internet Explorer is free, but you cannot distribute it until you get license from Microsoft. if this is the case here, I shall remove all Microsoft fonts from my site. The font is still in the beta stage. Does Microsoft charge for distributing beta products? I don't know...

"I am extremely interested to know as to which Public group you found the Microsoft font. Please let me know so that I can join it!"

---Bangla open type font developers should know about it. It is the famous group of Bangla Innovation Through Open Source(BIOS). Please search for this on yahoo groups.

Best regards,

Hello,

I do not know if there are any restrictions with regard to the distributing the Microsoft font. It is the first time I have seen it.

I am extremely interested to know as to which Public group you found the Microsoft font. Please let me know so that I can join it!

Thanks
Andy.
