    Dear fellows in FMP :-

I am sorry to inform you about my withdrawal from the project.

When I imported the FMP sources into Savannah last year, I sincerely
planned to work on stabilising the old distribution (preparing a stable
and understandable installation, extending the documentation), as well as
extending it by new features. Unfortunately, with all the quarrels that
come with a new job and the need to find a new flat, I had to suspend this
work. Today, as nothing has changed since then, and as I more and more
need to focus on my PhD, I feel that I should make a clear cut and quit.

I could imagine that some people are disappointed that no new developments
have taken place concerning FMP during the last year, and I need to face
the fact that this to a large extent is due to me underestimating my own
workload. For this, I feel sorry, and I only hope that after my
withdrawal from the project, other people might take up the work on FMP.

I wish you and the project all the best.

    - Marco
