[Fle3-dev] Changing font size bug in Fle3

Hello,

This is related to the bug #1325 in Savannah. I was trying to solve it:
originally the style sheets defined font size using "%", I changed them to
em. Both ways are common and widely used. However, this user still has
problems with changing font sizes. Have you encountered similar problems? Or
have you been solving similar problems before?

Sorry for the delay. The problem still exists at least in my portable
computer. Maybe I should bring my computer to some meeting and we can look
at it together.

I tested the bug this way: I went to FLE (http://church.uiah.fi:8080/FLE/)
and changed the font smaller. When I clicked links, the font of the links
changed back to the previous font (not all links, but for instance the
participants' names). I browsed back and forward in various pages in FLE and
elsewhere and changed the font size in between. The problem did not exist
elsewere.

Then I tested further, and found out that the FLE somehow "remembers" the
font size that was selected from settings when the FLE login window was
opened. If, for instance, the setting was on the largest font size when the
login window was opened, in FLE the font text in links transformed to that
largest font size after clicking, even though the font size was changed
smaller when I was in FLE. If the smallest font size was selected in the
login window, the link font size changed to that in clicking, although the
font setting was changed to larger font when inside FLE.

So, maybe there is somewhere a command to save the font size that was chosed
from the browser, when the FLE login window was opened, and use it in
showing the clicked link texts? This problem might have something to do with
my computer settings also, but it does not appear in any other www-page.
