Thanks Dale, yes I'm just realising how amateur my patch was .. I'm now
reworking it properly against git and following the guidelines...
The intention for '-xattr' was to keep it generic, it cropped up as a by-product
from working on the '-cap' functionality. Were there any particular design
points you had in mind?
