Mailed where actually?  I somehow missed them and still don't see any
beyond this mail...  The only patch I encountered later was the one at
Gentoo Bugzilla:

Great!  I quickly looked into git HEAD, still saw the flaws there and then 
din't search further.

Thank you for the patches!  I'll probably apply the one solving the assertion 
failure with the corresponding ChangeLog entry in order to make findutils 
working again in Fedora.
