Understood. The 4.2.x version normally stays put at a given release
of gnulib because that way we don't introduce bugs via changes in
gnulib (e.g. changes the gnulib authors expected applications to make
which we miss and which don't cause a compilation faiure). However,
if gnulib includes a bugfix which is relevant to us, it would make
sense to wind forward to a relevant 'release' of gnulib in order to
benefit from the bugfix.
