Thanks for checking! For example the IRC log file of the #hurd channel:
~tschwinge/tmp/irc/log/address@hidden:6667.txt, which
on the ``new fencepost'' is known as
~tschwinge/tmp/irc/log-2012-02-25/address@hidden:6667.txt,
as I moved tmp/irc/log to log-2012-02-25. (Feel free to look into the
file(s), if needed.)

On the ``new fencepost'':

    $ stat 'tmp/irc/log-2012-02-25/address@hidden:6667.txt'
      File: `tmp/irc/log-2012-02-25/address@hidden:6667.txt'
      Size: 323688 Blocks: 640 IO Block: 4096 regular file
    Device: ca11h/51729d    Inode: 15783812    Links: 1
    Access: (0644/-rw-r--r--)  Uid: ( 1250/tschwinge)   Gid: ( 1250/tschwinge)

    Change: 2012-02-23 18:14:04.139843222 +0100

But this file must have seen modifications on Friday, for example.

Grüße,
 Thomas
