[Erc-discuss] how to always show tabbar ?

Hi list,

I'm using ERC with tabbar or elscreen,
but the tabbar or elscreen disappear when current buffer is ERC buffer,
the tabbar wiki page says, I can do M-x tabbar-local-mode to get the tabbar 
line back.
but that's not permanent,
is there any way to always display the tabbar ? even not to display the channel 
topic.
