Yeah, let's apply it to actor-blackball. :-)
Make that marble a block. :-)
I'm not convinced of your idea - on most of the floor tiles, the
middle part is pretty uniform, whereas the borders generate the
plastic effect, e.g. having a highlight etc. You're going to lose them
this way.
But still it can safe some time when generating small-scale graphics.
But I really would use it only for manually selected tiles.
(e.g. run it on all tiles that don't have a small version yet, and
then hand-pick the ones that look good)
