That's one reason why the automatic creation of thumbnails is still
disabled by default.

That's the solution if favour too. But the current solution probably
works better on Windows. I currently spend the little time I have for
Enigma on laying the groundwork for network games, so I can't promise I
will be able to resolve the issue soon, but I've added it to my todo
list.
