Ok, let's keep 3.0 as it is and work on the release.

Since they haven't received the same amount of testing as what lies
currently in HEAD, I'm not sure they should be in the release (that's
the conservative sysadmin speaking). Being a little less conservative,
since you use the code with no problems, I think we can give it a try :)

In any case, I don't mind including them in our git repo (did you sign
papers to the FSF?).
