I've been setting this (mouse-autoselect-window) to
t and considerably eased my need to click - however I can no longer
drag the mode-line if the frame is split, the moment it moves into the lower
of the windows it just focusses it. Dragging the mode line upwards seems
to work
It would also be nice if the documentation said where this variable is
defined (or is it a builtin?), and it would be good if there was some way
to use the menubar if it is set differently in the lower window - if I
mouve the mouse through the upper window to get at it the menubar changes
and I can no longer access thething I was aiming at
In GNU Emacs 21.3.50.25 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.0.6)
of 2003-08-30 on jailhouse.chezmarshall.freeserve.co.uk
configured using `configure '--with-x-toolkit=gtk''
