Thanks for reporting!
I believe that this has been fixed on main (development branch) via
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/emacs/org-mode.git/commit/?id=23a3c82532
or
https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/emacs/org-mode.git/commit/?id=3ff21c7138

At least, I cannot reproduce on the latest main.
Fixed.

Not for bugfix - the fix is non-trivial and the bug is not critical.
