That may be true, but it is secondary to the main goal of the FSF. It
isn't about benefit or convenience. It is about freedom. My guess is
that the FSF position is likely to be something along the lines that
while supporting/encouraging org mode in other, possibly non-free,
software might be beneficial to Emacs users, it not only fails to
promote the objectives of the FSF, it may actually work against it by
decreasing the incentives to move away from a closed non-free solution
to an open free one.
