There should also be a system-wide setting in /etc/mailcap.  On my
Fedora machine, the system-wide settings all look like this:

  text/html; /usr/bin/xdg-open %s ; copiousoutput

If yours doesn't, you could override it in ~/.mailcap.  If that doesn't
fix things, I'm out of ideas :-|.
