Thanks for your report and the workaround.
I had a similar issue some days ago. The reson for these issues is that
the Emacs guys finally dropped some functions in the calendar which have
been marked obsolete for a long time.
I try to fix the concrete issue immediately.
If I find time I try to fix all similar issues.
