Andrea, you are probably right. Is it a way to automatically save the .org file in utf8 ? In my emacs the encoding is utf8 by default.

 Shot in the dark: could it be that the encoding of your
org file needs to be saved in utf8 in order to generate a utf8
latex file? Regards, Andrea
