$ make docs

was my friend, thanks for the pointer, Stupid me, didn't realise that
the documentation is also advancing for 8.0pre...

This is a great help. But:

address@hidden:/appl/org-mode$ make info
make -C doc info
make[1]: Entering directory `/appl/org-mode/doc'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `info'.

The info documentation is not yet working?
