I've attached a patch which works for me, at least in simple tests.  It should set the buffer name more correctly in session mode.  I also added a new defcustom for the python command to use for session mode specifically; that is required for Windows, and I don't think it hurts on other OSes.

Ah, I see -- once I add the proper dir, the proper version of org-mode will get autoloaded from there (even with emacs -Q).

But it wouldn't actually hurt, would it?
