[Orgmode] Bug: UTF-8 characters in #+LINK does not work [7.4]

Using characters such as å,ä,ö does not work when using #+LINK

example:

`#+LINK: Färdmedel file:~/färdmedel.org'

this does not work, however the following does:

`#+LINK: Fardmedel file:~/färdmedel.org'

Is there an easy fix?
