Hi,

The index.org file is automatically generated for you when you org-mobile-push.  It contains links to all files listed in org-agenda-files and org-mobile-files.  Is your project.org listed in either of those?  You may find this screencast helpful, it demonstrates setting up MobileOrg from start to finish:

I don't know why but " * [[file:project.org][an important project]] " part was erased from index.org.  

Am I doing something wrong or I simply misunderstand how it works?
