Display image slice in the right margin

I'm trying to display an image slice in the right margin.

Documentation say `((margin right-margin)
SPEC)' display spec should be used.  However, if SPEC is say `((slice 0 0 1.0 40) <image>))' nothing is displayed in the margin.

Is it possible to display image slice in the right margin?
