In my 40 years of using Emacs, I don't think
I've ever used `next-buffer' and the like.

I use `C-x b' (or `C-x 4 b' or `C-x 5 b') and
`M-n' or `M-p'. As a bonus, the prompt tells
me what the buffer will be.

I'm happy to see that `mouse-1' and `mouse-3'
on the current buffer name in a mode-line do
the previous and next buffer things, by
default. That's especially good for newbies,
I imagine. But I have no need for the `C-x'
followed by arrow-key bindings.

That said, I'm not suggesting we bind those
keys to something else. (I wouldn't mind if
they were "liberated" to the No-Default Free
List, however.)
