That is not what I recall. On the contrary, I've been concerned all
year about whether we were making clear arrangements with the
developers of packages that we put into NonGNU ELPA. That is a recipe
for problems that will show up later.
We don't know if problems are developing, because we do not check for
latent problems. We wouldn't know if there is a problem unless it
blows up. With a little work we can avoid them in advance.
My memory is sometimes forgetful. Did I ever say I agreed that we had
no need to contact the authors in advance? If so, I'd like to see
what I said.
