For Emacs, sure. Even if our integration scheme is somewhat peculiar,
it is at least very well done, well documented, and I've never had
problems. I'm really quite happy with Git in Emacs and excited about
this recent inclination to SourceHut.

Of course I wonder if there's something special in Emacs it that makes it
somehow vulnerable to more commonly found integration strategies, or,
alternatively, if the danger you're imagining is something to worry about
for any other projects that utilizes them.
