That is true, rcirc-markup-text-functions, or more precisely
rcirc-markup-attributes only specified bold, italic and underlined
formatting.

I found this document that explains various formatting options
https://modern.ircdocs.horse/formatting.html. It seems like something
that could be added, unless there is a technical reason not to do so.
