In this particular example, though, seq-length should be enough. Or just 'length'.

Speaking of alists, though, 'alist-get' is discoverable enough, and also powerful (you can use it instead of both assoc and assq).

'copy-alist' is not so discoverable using the default completion settings. It *is* discoverable with fido-mode, though. Or with ido-ubiquitous (3rd party package).

Hopefully we'll drift toward more fuzzy completion over time in the default configuration too.
