Thank you, Eli, reviewing and responding to this particular thread.
I will continue studying draw_glyphs in the coming days with an eye towards
pinpointing the circumstance when a preceding tab stretch is drawn anew upon a
cursor being placed on the subsequent character.
As always, your help is greatly appreciated.
