It is not a problem with JS, it's a problem of browser platforms.
That's why we have JS libraries.
Like when you want to write a cross platform GUI which works under
X, Windows, etc. then you don't start hand coding GUI widgets,
you use libraries like GTK or wxWidgets instead.
So the platform differences should be handled by the library, not
the app, and if there is a problem on a platform then it is a bug
in the library which should be fixed there.
