Can someone please tell me what is this argument about?  AFAIR, when
you activate show-paren-mode, the jump-and-blink behavior is disabled,
so what you get is a highlight of the opposite paren when it is on
screen, and an echo area message when it is not.  So what is the
problem you are arguing about here?  What did I miss?
