I don't know, but here are a few questions off
the top of my head:

* How do you debug?  Both Elisp code, and the C substrate.

* What are the implications of combining this with
  the Guile version of Emacs that Brad is working on?

* Is it governed by a --with-something-or-other
  flag at configure-time?  Would make it easier to sell,
  I expect.
