The point is that installing MS-Windows _works_.  Most of the time,
pretty painlessly.  I've done it for a friend a few times.  There was no
need for me to crawl through HOWTOs or search out kernel documentation
to make it work.

That has not been my experience of GNU/Linux, in particular Debian
Sarge and some older versions of SuSE.  I accept that others have had
better experiences installing G/L.

Please don't construe this as me advocating MS-Windows.  I'm not.  It's
just that reality doesn't go away when you shut your eyes.
