VC has always been kind of special to me. I've written other stuff
that may be more widely deployed -- you can't run a browser, for
example, without using code from the GIF and PNG reference libraries
that I had a hand in -- but I think of everything I've written VC is
probably the tool that is closest to hand for the most programmers.
