I haven't tried it lately, so it may have changed.It's not quite as simple as that. Try loading a large file.c, say .../src/w32fns.c, then do M-> and C-M-a. This is instantaneous enough. But yes, further C-M-a's do become a bit sluggish. globals_of_w32fns is spectacularly bad. OK, there's stuff to fix here.
