Hi,

Has there been any progress on this? Whilst I am not a Ruby user
myself, I think it would be good to include ruby-mode in Emacs.

I'm sorry but I am no longer working on this. When I contacted the ruby developer group, no one responded regarding the above docstring/ comment issue. Furthermore, they pointed out that there may be several pre-history contributors, which they don't keep records in CVS/ChangeLog. Someone else may try again, but it will be a long way to go.
