    I think the right solution will look different, and also the right solution
    will depend on what the multi-tty's server.el does, so it's probably better
    to fix it in the multi-tty branch than in the trunk, or else to wait until
    the multi-tty branch is merged into the trunk.

Would someone please fix it in the multi-tty branch?
