In regex.h, we test #if WIDE_CHAR_SUPPORT, but that symbol is defined
in regex.c, so modules which include regex.h gets the wrong set of
defines and prototypes (from !WIDE_CHAR_SUPPORT).
syntax.c has these lines -- but what really happens here ??
re_wctype_t cc;
...
cc = re_wctype (class_name);
...
if (re_iswctype (c, XFASTINT (elt)))
