Yes. For instance: C-h h C-x RET f utf-8 RET C-x C-w ~/temp RET Yes, that indeed runs the new code. What I tried was C-h h C-x RET c utf-8 RET C-x C-w ~/temp RET. But it "worked"--it saved the file without complaint. Is this a bug?
