Don't mix special and systematic changes

When you are making systematic changes to implement some general
change inconventions, please keep them separate from other
changes--don't include both kinds of changes in the same commit.

Otherwise it will sometimes happen that a few substantive changes are
mixed with many systematic changes.  Then it is very hard to read
through the diffs and spot the systematic changes.
