do we want similar patches adding references to other
variables/functions/commands?
Yes! Symbol names in doc strings are supposed to be quoted (except t
and nil), so if you find quotes missing, please add them.
(There is one other exception: when there is a Lisp expression in the
doc string, we don't put quotes around the symbols in the expression.)
