If I left-click-and-hold-down to open a menu, I sometimes see a menu entry's tooltip not be erased as I move from entry to entry.  I also sometimes see the menu pane not be erased as I move from menu to menu.  Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it easily.  It's not obvious if it's related to how quick I move around the menu. 

This is with emacs -Q.  I haven't noticed this in Emacs 22.
