Details:

duplicity 0.5.14 prints out the following message when using the
--time-separator option:
  Warning: Option --time-separator is pending deprecation and will be removed
in a future release.
  Use of default filenames is strongly suggested.

I'm using this option because duplicity's default filenames cannot be created
on FAT32 disks (see bug 25092). What should I do after depreciation?
