Follow-up Comment #1:

This sounds like a .0 bug in Suse-Python.  All of the Python 2.3 thru 2.6
documentation I have for LogRecord() shows 8 arguments, with the last one
optional.  I have no idea what the 9th argument would be, or even if that's
the only change (order?).

I'm marking this as "Need Info" until I can find docs on how this is supposed
to be.
